Personally, I'd say anything over ~40 is a lot. For most accounts, thats equal to about two oases per village. 60 is quite impressive indeed

That is a lot. Just the clearing points on them adds up. Would be interested to know if you are a serious hammer player or a simmer as well. I'm not trying to insinuate anything as I'm not on your server so have no idea, just interested.

Pfft. 60? Unless you have 100 clay oases then it's not a lot. That should be MINIMUM for an account.

Sixty oases IS a lot - enough that you'll have to change from The Caesars to The Sheiks...........

Perhaps in Speed 100's not a lot.

Let me add some further clarifications with these Oases ... 99% of them are double Oases; either double croppers or crop/clay; crop/iron or crop/wood, so the resource generation from all of those is major. We have 30 villages so far, so the formula of 2 per village is right.

Time will tell with this one!

meh.. it all depends. If you have a crap ton of double oasis then sure, taking 2 per village could pay off, but typically you should only take 1 oasis per feeder village (by which i mean a 4446 or iron/clay/wood heavy village).

It all depends on your play style really. I have never really focused on building hero mansions at all until 2 speed rounds ago when one of my duals (Cough Sitaram Cough) would them in damned near every village

It is best to get the first feeder as a 4446, but the rest should be depending on what you NEED the most and what oases you have handy. For example, most armies(besides clubswingers) need a heck of a lot of iron. So, a good 3456 would be good, and take an iron oasis with that. That will add a heck of a lot more resource production to that village. If you even THINK of taking a wood or iron oasis for that village, slap your hand before it clicks to do so.
You can always manually transfer extra resources for buildings to that village, but 3x25% < 5x25% .

This discussion shouldn't be the total amount of oases, because that really depends on the number of villages you have. It should be about how many oases to take for normal support villages - 1 or 2? I think we can all agree, that 3 crop oases around your capital is a good thing, if you have a capital with that many oases around. I think we can also all agree, that 3 oases for normal support villages aren't really worth the trouble. So it's 1 or 2 per support village. I often just go with one, unless I can get two +50 % crop oases or two 25 %/25 % oases. Blader just likes to show off
