You can give your password to someone as long as they aren't multing. If no real money is involved it's not breaking that rule. It's not blackmailing if they arent really asking for anything in return. It can only very vaguely fall under "urging another player to play a dual account", which is a bit of a pointless rule because then anyone who has offered to another player to dual their account could potentially be 'breaking' it.
Well, considering that these people are messaging players from other accounts, then they are breaking the rules, because they would, in fact, be multiaccounting...

§1.1
Each player may only own and play one account per server.
§1.3
Passing on the password is a violation of the rules and will be punished.

Also, considering that the player is spamming the inbox of many players,

§3.5
Advertisements of any kind, spam and chain mails are illicit.

I think you are going to get into a LOT more trouble in life, than losing a few travian accounts
And what about the kids that really don't know any better? There aren't just adults playing this game, and this type of offer would be quite appealing to the younger players...

Honestly though, as Kafkaesque stated, this was a warning, to make all users aware of the situation, and remind them that they should never give this information out. Never ASSUME that a player knows when they are being "taken". We are just trying to keep this a friendly environment for players of all ages.

Don't be the next victim!

Be sure YOUR passwords are strong, not easy to guess, and NOT the same as your email passwords.

Remember: if anyone really wants to buy you gold, they can do so if you set them as your sitter (and be careful what you allow them to be able to do!). They DO NOT need your password or email address!

Please report any messages you get of this nature to the Multihunter (send an in-game message to: Multihunter).

Be safe. Be smart.
Ive heard about these scams haha, though i dont think anyone is that stupid to fall for them... Also your right never use the same password as your email so you dont get stuffed around

Have fun!

The reason we warn about them is that users already HAVE been taken advantage of by these scams. It's not a matter of stupidity; rather, it's often the newer and younger players who aren't as familiar with the details of how everything works. They will eventually learn those things, just as we all did, but there's no reason they should suffer the kind of disappointment and potential loss a scam can bring them if we can help them avoid it.
